We have short, faceless texts of abbreviated words on our devices. Most of us still need face-to-face connections and conversations.
We can end up feeling a real emptiness in our soul when we have infrequent connections where we can read peoples facial expressions and hear the inflections in tones in a person's voice. I wonder whether the children of this generation will learn these important ways to understand others and what they are feeling.
