Hands are an amazing describer of a person. You can tell a lot about how a person is feeling by their hand movements.

How they accessorize their hands and wrists shows a flair for color, design and creativity.

Tattoos are a very popular way today that people are branding their personality on themselves for others to see.

Mismatched Hands  •  40" X 30" •  Acrylic/Mixed Media on Canvas

Some people count using their fingers or use their hands for measuring or checking the time constantly.

When they are checking the time they are telling you to hurry because they are busy!

Some people multitask with their hands. Especially when playing games that require movement. Or balancing many items at one time.
Have you ever played jacks and not seen what the other person is doing because they are so fast with their hands?

And when we practice diversity, we embrace people with hands that are different colors, shapes, sizes, genders, and on and on.

It doesn't matter what they look like, because we are accepting of everyone.

Left to Right:  Directional Hand 2  •  Directional Hand 1

Both are 24" X 18" and Acrylic/Mixed Media on Canvas

But the most important action that hands show is love, friendship and acceptance.

The X's and O's stand for hugs and kisses in this painting. Do you try to show acceptance?
