Choosing contemporary abstract art paintings, as what is considered right for your decor is a big problem for most people.

1. Consider the abstract painting that you are immediately attracted to.

If you can’t forget the painting as you stroll the gallery or go into other shops, then that abstract art painting was meant for you. Think about where you can hang it in your home decor or your office space. It will continue to keep your eye for as long as you own it. Have you already imagined in your mind a place on your wall that you have hung it?

2. Does the abstract art painting speak to you? Ask yourself what it says to you.

When a painting speaks to you about a memory, event or a feeling then it will give you that same reminder every time you look at it. If it cheers you with its colors and shapes or makes you nostalgic with its memory, it will be like a movie with your favorite scene, playing that feeling or saying that same message over and over again.

3. Eliciting a reaction or feeling for you with its color, movement or design elements is another sign.

I get the same reaction from people every time they view my paintings. They say, “It makes me feel so Happy.”  Or, “Your paintings are so cheerful.”

Because I use repeating patterns and bold colors in my abstract paintings they are vibrant and joyful to view. Again, you will renew that same feeling every time you view them. In today’s world, feeling cheerful is not easy to find in our day-to-day lives. It helps keep us healthy.
