A series of wall art that was created to be used together in different ways is a specialty of mine.

Because I love designing with colorful art in my own office and home, I know that it is advantageous to be able to move the art around the house to change things up for a new look.

Here is the series of 4 paintings Structures A through D in the bedroom. And below they are designed in other layout schemes.

And that can be done easily with a series of small paintings that you can arrange in different ways.

So part of my art creations include series art. I will create 12” X 12” canvas paintings in series of 2, 3 and 4 so that you can decide what is best for your space.

Here I only use 3 in a different design layout that looks great with the space available.

The best advantage of the modern art I create is that I can use it in any setting and with most styles.

They look great in this casual space with a rustic look and pull the space together with this colorful display.

Life can get too predictable and one way to add a little variety and excitement to your home or office space is to change it up a little.

This is really a great idea. Use 2 of the series over a counter next to some plants.

Then use the remaining 2 in another location in your space or in the same room. If you are using them in the same room, arrange them differently.

Coming up with colorful creative art is my job. I am very good at that. But I also add the natural design spirit that I have developed over the years to create art that looks great in almost any room and layout.

This is one of my favorite layouts. One leaning or hanging just above a cabinet surface. And the others hanging about 2 inches above each other.

Stress is all around us lately like never before. And stress has some serious consequences on our bodies and minds.

As in so many other circumstances, we have no control over, are heaped upon our shoulders, stress and anxiety rise to unhealthy levels.

Constant stress can result in serious problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, heart attacks, and stroke. Obesity and other eating disorders, Menstrual problems and Sexual dysfunction are also symptoms.

There are other ways to relieve stress before it gets out of control without the use of costly medicines. And medicines, many times, create another health risk with their reactions.

So you are almost finished and your design project still needs the finishing touches to be unique and inspiring.

This is the part that requires your direct attention and guidance.

If you listen to others on what wall art should be hung on your walls, you will be disappointed with what they choose.

Wall Art, especially paintings or art prints should only be chosen by you. The main reason is that you should let the Art speak to you and only you. If it doesn’t speak to you immediately it never will.

And if it will never speak to you, you will never receive the benefits of what art is supposed to do for you.

Your fireplace mantle is a great focal point to add items that are meaningful to you and your family.

If you are like me you like to change things up occasionally to create a new look but still have your prized possessions highlighted.

Using your fireplace mantle you can do this by changing the artwork that you either lean against it or hang above it.

Let me show you how I change mine. I have 2 paintings that blend into my design and colors in my family room and change them with each other every 6 months or so.

Lean them against the wall on top of the mantle

Easy to change up that way. I find 30” x 24” the tallest I want to use for space to ceiling.

Our lives today are much different then years ago. We are much more likely to live in different homes, apartments, states, and countries.

That means we need to have home decor items that are easier and more versatile to use in different environments and easier to pack without damage.That is where the advantages of a series of small artworks are to your advantage.

1.  Using a series of art all together creates one large artwork. Four 12” X 12” paintings stacked 2 over 2 creates a cohesive 25” X 25” painting which is a great size over a sofa or buffet. Let me show you some examples of that look.

2. You can vary the design on your wall for a whole different look for your decor. The possibilities are endless.

3.  And best of all advantages, using smaller series artwork is more versatile for smaller spaces. You don’t have to use the whole series in one spot. When you move, you are more likely to find space for your art collection in many different spots.

4.  Shipping artwork is expensive, especially large artwork, because it needs larger boxes and crates that are the right sizes.

So the boxes or crates have to be created by hand. And they have to be wrapped a certain way to avoid damage both in the box and outside the box from banging around and punctures. Therefore smaller artwork can be put in ready made boxes and it is less expensive to ship because it does not incur the oversized charges.

Cool, right? So many new ideas for your wall decor.

We all have had this experience at some point in our buying experience history.

You see something you love but for various reasons wait too long to purchase it. Then it is gone...and regret follows.

Especially One of a Kind items like Original Art.

Here are some tips to avoid that when you find that perfect artwork for your home decor or office wall.

1.  Ask the artist or gallery if they have a time payment plan. Don’t be intimidated to ask. Many artists do allow time payments especially on a large item purchase or when buying more than one artwork. Don‘t lose out on owning what you love because you feel, for some reason, that you can’t say “yes” at the moment. 

I do take time payments on all of my Original Art Paintings. But my website does not have the tech to do that type of purchase yet so you need to contact me and I can do that in a jiffy. While you won’t be able to have the art shipped to you until it is paid in full, you know that it is being held for you so no one can come along and scoop it up just because you couldn’t say “YES” at the time.

2. You are hesitating on purchasing the one of a kind artwork because you don’t know your measurements, whether it will fit, or if it will look perfect for your space that needs something just like that to complete your room. Ask the artist or gallery if they have a return policy. Most do as long as it is returned in good condition and within a specified time period.

I do have a return policy. Mine is postmarked 7 business days after the date you receive it. And in the same condition you received it. So take photos of how it was wrapped as you unpack it. That way you can try it out in your space to see if it meets your needs for your home decor or office wall. So don’t hesitate to buy it to live with it on your walls and return it if you must. You will have to pay return shipping costs.

3.  What happens if you can’t decide between more than 1 piece of Original Art? If you live in the same area as an artist, most will let you take the Original Art home for a couple days to see how it looks or which you like better. Usually they will hold your charge or cash until you return the Art or call them back to announce which you are keeping  and which you are retuning.

I also allow you to take more than one piece of art home with you in a 50 mile radius and they are returned in the same condition you received it. Again if shipping is involved you will be responsible for those expenses.

So you see all your worries solved. Go ahead. Don’t lose out on owning the perfect art for you. It speaks to you forever.

We all have them, those spaces that just won't fit anything we have in our arsenal but look bare every time we pass it.

It needs something to bring out another feature that is placed there but you just don't know what that would be.

And surrounding yourself with art enriches your life, as well as, helps keep you healthy. Hospitals have art on every wall just for that sole purpose.

Would you like to take a glimpse in an artist's life? Behind the scenes...

Many artists show works in progress because lots of lovers of art want to see our studios and how we look trying to create the next wall art for their inspiring collection of artwork.

So the abstract painting in the photo that I am creating is named "Who Doesn't Like Spring?". However I did not have a name for it until weeks after it was finished.

In fact, it was the first painting that I asked my viewers to help me name by suggesting publicly what it brought up in their minds in reflection. The finished artwork creation is below.

Because I am a gardener, Spring is so inspiring to me as an artist. I love to see all the green sprouts popping out of the ground. And I can't wait to go to the gardening centers. Spring starts in March in North Carolina so those sprouts are popping and my daffodils are blooming.

Now that you have seen it, I would love to give you some suggestions on using it in your home decor. It would also look great in a business such as a garden center or florist shop. Hey floral people, this would look great to your customers. It will give them a happy jolt and make shopping a pleasure for them.
