Our environment is crying out for help now. Fires, floods, high temperatures and humidity…what are we waiting for? 

We need to get started immediately and design environmentally safe ways to exist on Earth.

I have been creating modern abstract art addressing our environmental problems for years. Delightful, colorful, bold, paintings that I hoped would encourage others to be attracted to them visually so they could stimulate a positive dialogue about our environment.

Pendulum of Life, and abstract, acrylic and mixed media painting on canvas, was inspired by the facts that we are running out of time to help our environment and climate change.

 
That is a frightening truth that we have to face and confront NOW if we are going to be able to halt and possibly change some of the damage we have already done.

There is a lot of information out there on the subject of our environment and climate crisis. Sometimes it can get overwhelming with all that we have to do today to fix it.  So much fallout, advice, criticism, and explanations. We just need to start now and get it done.

This is a 2-painting series created about my concerns about the environment. Each side tells a story. On the left, Mindful Forces in Life 1 tells about our excessive heat and fires. On the right, Mindful Forces in Life 2 tells about our floods and storms.

While my art is delightful, happy, joyful paintings that lift your spirits it also raises the issue of the environmental problems. Because they are so visually attractive  they can stimulate a dialogue and get the subject out in the open in a positive way.

We all need to do our part!

Our environment is suffering and crying out for our help. The climate crisis is upon us.

What can we do individually to remind ourselves and others to speak up about changing this important issue that affects every aspect of our lives?

I worry about the issues we all face today as a society. So painting happy paintings about these issues makes me feel better when I can visually bring them to the public to start a positive dialogue with other interested parties. In that way I am contributing to a faster solution.

You can too. Visually it helps helps people connect to it quicker and promotes conversation.

Look how great it goes with everything in the space around it! It blends in with all the colors around it while remaining stimulating with its bold colors and shapes.

It is an environmental painting created for you, the individual who believes that we have to be mindful of what our environment is saying to us. HELP me NOW...

We are in the dining area where again it fits in with the surrounding furnishings and color palette. And it lends a spark of life to the neutral objects in the room.

And look at what it does for the room pictured below. WOW...

I have to say that it ties together the elegant sofa with the brick painted wall superbly with the darker tan in the painting and the richer and darker red as well.

It has been proven as fact that art in your surroundings changes your mood. Even in a small area. And it ties your space all together.

When you go to a gallery or a museum to view an exhibition, you will sometimes see an art piece that speaks to you.

It can make you recall a memory of a time or place that stirs some emotion. Or it might change your mood or mindset.

My abstract paintings are mood changing. Viewers most always say they are playful, happy, cheerful, joyful, eye catching, etc. And many are painted in a series of 2, 3 or 4 so that it makes it so much easier to have a cohesive look without a lot of work on your part.

Even though they carry messages about the issues of our day, they impart them in a bold, colorful way using organic shapes, textures, patterns in an abstracted style.

This series of 3 paintings are an expression about our environmental issues we are facing now. Global warming has changed our weather and has resulted in severe, destructive damage to our land. Fires, melting ice caps, severe storms, hurricanes and a shortage of rain has devastated the environment the world over. We need to take action and the clock is ticking loudly.

Whether you hang art about the environment or not, please do what you can in your home or office to carry out the actions that will lighten the load. Recycle what your area allows you to put in the container. You can compost your food waste. Don’t use chemicals around your house or yard that is hazardous to you or the environment. And planting trees and other garden plants help to clean the air. Do what you can. Any action help.

The U.S. Federal Reserve said Tuesday, December 15, that it has joined an international group of central banks focused on climate change (NGFS). This could be a signal that the Fed could use the impacts of global warming into its regulatory writ. This was reported by Reuters.

These 3 paintings remind you that we need a safe environment but they also cheer up your mood and your walls. Hopefully we can leave future generations a safe environment if we champion the cause now. And put in the measures to try to reverse the current trends.
